The OceanGate disaster was one of the most discussed events of last year. For most people, it was an obvious mistake to go with the OceanGate sub. Mainly because it would be controlled by a $25 Logitech gaming controller. However, in previous interviews, many questions and concerns were raised about the safety of the submersible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CEO, who also died in the implosion, addressed concerns, saying innovation sometimes requires bypassing rules and standards. Consequently, the company chose unconventional materials for their subs, which ultimately led to the implosion. All five aboard the submersible died instantly.<\/p>\n\n\n
