The human body is quite strong by itself. However, just like with the things you own, you have to take care of it properly. In multiple studies, it is shown that nearly 40% of kinds of cancer have modifiable risk factors, which means that you can reduce the risk by slightly changing your life. In recent studies, drinking alcohol has been linked to a large portion of new cancer cases! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Young People Who Drink Heavy Or Regularly Have A Higher Risk Of Getting Cancer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
In the UK almost 50% of people between 16 and 24 will have consumed alcohol during the week. The people who go to college or who are still in student groups often drink way more than just a beer on a night out! On average the men in this age category will drink 16,1 alcohol units per week, while women of the same age group only drink 6.9 units. One unit means 8gr of pure alcohol. One pint of beer has a little over 3 alcohol units.<\/p>\n\n\n

Recent studies have shown that drinking alcohol is linked to a large portion of new cancer cases. These studies have not concluded that alcohol is the sole cause of these cancer cases, but it has indicated that drinking a lot will raise the risks of getting cancer later in life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reducing the amount of alcohol you drink is one of the ways to have less risk of cancer. Some of the cancer types that are linked to drinking alcohol are liver cancer, breast cancer and stomach cancer. Studies also found that people who drink regularly or heavily in their early adulthood have more risk of developing these types of cancer later in life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
