He fought legends like Muhammad Ali multiple times. While Muhammad Ali always won their fights, Joe earned his respect as he was one of the most resilient fighters who could keep up with Ali. Later in 1995, he managed to get the Australian heavyweight champion title as well. In total, he fought 83 fights, won 69 of these with 43 knock-out wins. He has only 13 losses and one draw on his record. Bugner also took an advising role for the Cinderella Man film, which helped with the boxing sc\u00e8nes.
