Many people drive all the way to Germany, or specifically visit the country, to experience driving on the Autobahn. It is a heaven for people with fast cars who want to unlock the full potential of their machines. However, this German driver found out that you can’t just drive 300+ km\/h on the entire highway. Keep reading to discover what happened! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

German Autobahn User Sets Speeding Ticket Record<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The German Autobahn is known for the fact that there is no speed limit<\/strong><\/a>. You can go as fast as your car allows you to go, as long as you can safely do so. However, on certain parts of the road, there are speed limits that you’d have to follow. Often these parts of the road have a 120km\/h limit. These slower parts of the Autobahn are often in more dangerous places where a lot of lane switching will happen. The speed limit makes it safer for cars to exit and enter the road like that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The driver of a Porsche Panamera was clocked by a mobile speedtrap on one of the parts where you can drive 120km\/h. However, he was driving 321 km\/h. He got the speed record of these days and will receive a fine for driving this much over the speed limit! <\/p>\n\n\n

While it is true that you can drive however fast you want on the Autobahn, the insurance companies of these drivers have the right not to pay, or pay less, if the driver causes any damage. So most of the time, driving this fast will come with a big risk as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The German driver is not allowed to drive for 3 months<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When you think that this driver was speeding more than 200km\/h, a speed that most normal cars can barely reach, you’d expect the driver to be in jail for life for reckless driving. However, he is still free and only has to pay a fine of 900 euros. And since he is driving a Porsche Panamera, we don’t think those 900 euros will matter to him that much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the fine, the driver is not allowed to drive his car for 3 months, and he received 2 points on his licence. At 8 points, his license will be suspended, and he won’t be able to drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
