When discussing supercars, your mind likely goes to brands such as Ferrari, Lamborghini or McLaren. One brand that might not immediately come to mind is Alfa Romeo. However, the reveal of the new Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale might change that!
The New Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale: Breathing New Life Into An Old Passion
If you’re a bit older, the name might sound familiar to you. That’s because the new Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale is a homage to the 1967 model. The design of the new model is heavily based on this old model. Including the body lines and sporty looks. However, not everything is the same, the new model has a smaller engine, but it is a hybrid which compensates for the loss of cylinders!

The 1967 33 Stradale came with a V8 that could reach a top speed of 257kmh (160mph), whilst the new model comes with a V6 hybrid engine. However, this hybrid engine has more than 750 horsepower and will have near-instant acceleration! Alfa Romeo recently released a video revealing the sound of the engine in the new car!
Since the new Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale is an homage to the old supercar, it will be produced in a very limited quantity. Only 33 units will be produced! Unfortunately, your chance of buying has passed since all 33 units have been sold already!
Not Alfa Romeo’s First Supercar
Alfa Romeo is considered to be the Italian BMW, with cars like the Alfa Romeo Giulia competing directly with the BMW M3. However, the new Alfa 33 Stradale won’t be the first supercar the Italian brand developed. In the past 20 years, we had 2 other models that could be considered sports or supercars. The Alfa Romeo 8C in 2007 and the 4C in 2013!

The Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione is one of the rarest Alfa’s you can find! They only produced a total of 500 units which makes it an incredibly rare care to come across! With a V8 capable of reaching a top speed of 292 Kmh (181mph), the 8C was definitely not a slow car! In terms of exclusivity, the 4C is much less rare. However, the car wasn’t that successful, so they decided to stop producing it after around 10.000 units were made!
