Oasis is by far one of the biggest bands to come from Manchester or even our country! The brothers have created some of the best late-night drunk sing-along-songs with their hit: Wonderwall! This hit has over 2 billion streams on Spotify and has the ability to get everyone singing in less than a minute.
Unfortunately, the band disbanded in 2009, leaving fans heartbroken worldwide. However, the recent news of the band reuniting and embarking on a tour starting in 2025 has brought joy to fans everywhere!
Why Did Oasis Break Up?
The breakup of Oasis was not caused by one specific thing, but rather by a combination of all the small fights and arguments that accumulated over the years. The Gallagher brothers, in particular, had their fair share of differences regarding the band and its future.

In 2009, the band broke up when Noel Gallagher officially quit the band. He made the decision just before they were scheduled to perform at a festival in France. The other members of Oasis haven’t revealed a real reason for the breakup. Noel Gallagher did mention that his decision was mainly due to issues with his little brother.
Maybe Not The Surprise They Expected
Oasis’ comeback has been described as one of the worst-kept secrets in the UK. Numerous rumours had been circulating about the band reuniting. Just a few days ago, the Gallagher brothers confirmed that they would indeed reunite and perform live shows. The band has not recorded any new songs, so a new album won’t be released any time soon. Instead, they may release some classic unreleased songs!
Their first show will be in Cardiff in July 2025. This will be the first time the brothers have played together on stage since their breakup 15 years ago! Young fans who never got the chance to see one of their shows, as well as older fans who just want to relive their youth, will be scrambling to get tickets to these events.
