Even though farting is a very natural thing to do, it is mostly not acceptable to do it when you’re around other people. Recently Men In Black Director Barry Sonnenfeld appeared on a show, where he revealed some of the funniest moments from his days filming with Will Smith for the first MIB movie! One particular story went viral as Will Smith caused an evacuation of the set.
Will Smith “Gasses” Co-Star In Hermetically Sealed Pod
For one of the scenes in the first Men In Black Movie, Will Smith and his co-star Tommy Lee Jones were sealed in a Hermetically Sealed Pod for one of their stunts. They would be driving in a transforming car which travels at very high speeds and would flip over. To protect the actors from flying out, the pod had to be completely sealed off.
Moments before the cameras started rolling Will Smith started apologising to Tommy Lee Jones and requested the ladder to be brought immediately. Apparently, Will had ripped One in the pod and was “gassing” Tommy with his nasty smell.
Once the pod was opened, the smell escaped to the rest of the set, which made it impossible to work in. So There was no other option than to take a long break. Eventually, after 3 hours, the filming continued and the scene was filmed without any other problems!
The Film Was A Big Success!
As you know, the film turned out to be a great success. It was even so popular that the franchise made 3 more movies after the first one. The movie ended up being one of the highest-grossing movies of 1997, grossing 584 million dollars worldwide. After Men In Black and Will’s participation in Independence Day, he became a known actor world wide!
