Concerts and shows used to be just to enjoy some music or other performances. However, nowadays, every show has to include something special that can malfunction. From cool pyrotechnics that could burn a whole stage down, to giant flying butterflies like Katy Perry uses during her shows. Katy Perry Was Riding the Prop While It Malfunctioned
“Last Friday Night” …. Katy Perry performed in San Francisco as part of her lifetime tour. However, while she was singing one of her biggest hits, “Roar,” she nearly had a bad accident. She was sitting on top of a giant butterfly prop, in mid-air, and sang from on top of the prop. However, the prop malfunctioned and almost came crashing down on the floor. The popstar had to hold on real tight to stay on top of it. Definitely a scary moment for the pop star since she wasn’t wearing any safety gear either.
She continued the show!
After making sure the big butterfly wasn’t actually falling to the floor, she continued the song and the rest of her show. However, we’re sure that for the next shows, she is going to double-check the systems of her butterfly before going on top of it. We think the ride she had on this butterfly was probably more eventful than her space flight!
This accident is also weeks after Byoncé’s prop malfunctioned during the show. She was sitting on a red Cadillac flying above the crowd when suddenly the car started tilting to one side, making the star stop her show for a little while. She then had to be lowered to the ground with the crew standing underneath it to make sure she’d land safely.
