The Tesla Cybertruck is one of the most controversial vehicles of the past few years. The fully electric beast of a truck is made out of aluminium and is capable of some really intense “truck” things such as pulling a load of around 3000 lbs without a performance decrease. However, Unplugged Performance, the company that brought us the renders of a potential Cyber police truck, has announced its latest project with the truck. Project Sting!
The STING project, from Unplugged Performance, offers 3 tiers of upgrades for the Cybertruck!
The STING project is a project that will transform your Cybertruck into an apocalypse-ready machine. Unplugged Performance does this by upgrading multiple things such as the suspension, wheels, and even bulletproof glass. There will be three tiers available to upgrade your Cybertruck with. The most expensive tier will even come with bolt-on bulletproof door panels! The other upgrade packages would include upgrades like I.E.D and Mine protection and a backup power source which would run on jet fuel!

However, the company has received a lot of criticism and people have gotten sceptical about this company. They’re not confident that the company will be able to produce these upgrades. They have accepted orders, but there is yet to be a car delivered. Something that adds to this, is the fact that there were no example cars for the armored or the police tesla cars!
The Features Wouldn’t Be Useful If They Were Real
Even if the renders were to become a reality, they wouldn’t be useful in general. Some people pointed out that the “bulletproof panels”, would not be functional. These would be bolted on the doors, and wouldn’t open. If they worked the door would have to be modified to have an actual way to open it. These seemingly small things take away from the credibility of the company and its capabilities of delivering on its promises! The company also has a lot of different cars with upgrades on back order, which doesn’t help their situation either.
