Each year car manufacturers try to come up with some of the most insane looking concept cars to showcase the possibilities of cars. However, in most cases these crazy concepts never get actually built. This is what most people thought would be the case with the Renault Filante Record 2025. However, the company is actually making the car and wants it to be the fastest ever produced!
What does the Filante Record 2025 look like?
Renault is going all in on speed and efficiency with the Filante Record 2025, a futuristic EV built to shatter records. The car is inspired by legendary single seater cars, and will also only have one seat. When you look at it for the first time you’ll be convinced it is the new EV batmobile! The concept was designed with Ligier Automotive and packs an 87-kWh lithium-ion battery.

The body of the car will be made of carbon fiber and 3D-printed aluminum. Because of these materials, the car will weigh just 1,000 kg, but be able to withstand more. If you thought it would be a comfortable ride, we have unfortunate news for you. The Filante record 2025 uses a radical hammock-style seat and steer-by-wire technology. The car itself will look like something straight from the future, with holes and gaps all over the body to optimize the airflow so that the car can reach optimal speeds!
When can we expect to see it?
The Filante Record 2025, will be tested in wind tunnels to check the ultra-aerodynamic body this spring. However, car enthusiasts will have to wait a bit longer to check out the car flying over a track and pushing the boundaries of what the car is capable of doing. Have you not seen the prototype yet?
