Hooter Girls Serving Drinks in The Air!
In 2003, the owner of Hooters acquired an airline company and decided to turn it into Hooters Air. This would be a giant marketing technique to get more looks at their restaurants. It soon turned out to be a bigger operation with multiple flights. These flights went to different popular vacation destinations such as the Bahamas and other places.
Unfortunately, the Hooters girls weren’t FAA certified so they weren’t allowed to serve people on the plane itself. Instead, a real crew of stewards operated the normal cart with food and drinks. The Hooters girls were allowed to sell merchandise and interact with the people on the flight. The parent company lost a lot of money from the airline!
Even though a flight with nice-looking ladies in short shorts and tight shirts sounds amazing, the airline had to stop operations in 2006. When they quit, the company had caused a 40 million dollar loss for the parent company. One of the main reasons why the airline had to stop was because of the rising fuel costs and low demand for Hooters flights. However, Hooters Air still is one of the most unique aviation ventures of all time!
