Nico Hülkenberg finally stood on an F1 Podium!

An unexpected podium finish for the German driver!

Nico Hülkenberg started the Silverstone Grand Prix of 2025 in 19th place. He had an unfortunately bad qualifying session. However, with his racecraft, the multiple different events that happened during the race, the German driver was able to gain positions quickly. Eventually, he even reached the top 5. In the last few laps, he was able to reach 3rd position and keep it until the end of the race. His incredible performance was rewarded with a podium finish, so he could finally celebrate in front of thousands of fans and his team.

Nico Hülkenberg claims the record for most race starts without a podium finish!

This podium finish means that Nico Hülkenberg has finally reached the podium! He started his career in 2010, and now can add Formula One podium finisher to his achievements. He also took the record for most F1 race starts without a podium finish as he had 239 race starts, and now finally one podium finish! The previous driver who held this record was Carlos Sainz Jr. with 101 races.

However, these 239 races without a podium finish don’t mean that Nico is a bad racer. He has been in the sport for over 15 years now which means he belongs to the 20 best drivers in the world for the past 15 years! In 2015 he even racet in the LeMans 24, and was able to win it with the Porsche racing team in his first attempt. This is a legendary title not all racers achieve in their career!
