After its initial success, Netflix released a theatrical sing-along version of the movie. It was only played in just over 1300 theaters in the US, UK, Canada, and New Zealand. It raked in around 20 million dollars in earnings at the domestic box office.

The songs of the movie went viral

The film’s soundtrack also became some of the most popular music on the “Hot 100”. It was the first movie to place 4 songs in the top 10 of this list, with “Golden” in the number one spot. The best part? The songs that are in the top 10 spots are made by fictional K-pop groups such as HUNTR/X and Saja Boys. These tracks now perform better than other groups like Blackpink or BTS and are the highest charting female K-pop act in the US. Have you not heard any of these songs yet?
