Throughout the year, Formula One drivers are almost always on the move. Each week they must travel to a different country to race the fastest cars in the world. This leaves them with almost no time to enjoy other hobbies. However, each season the drivers have a period during the summer in which there are no new Grand Prix. This is when drivers like Max Verstappen get to enjoy other, sometimes unusual, passions!
Other drivers prefer taking a break from racing and enjoy riding bicycles or playing golf with friends. This isn’t Max’s preference for his free time, can you guess what he prefers?
Max Verstappen LOVES Racing
You might think that after hours of racing in a real race car, drivers would want to head to their hotel as quickly as possible. The last thing they want to do is think about a race track. However, this isn’t the case for the current world Champion, Max Verstappen! He LOVES racing on a whole different level compared to most other drivers!
When he is done showering and relaxing, there is nothing he likes more than jumping on his racing simulator and continuing to race! He also races in different categories to gain more experience in other types of motorsport!
He loves online racing so much that he shipped his racing set up to his hotel and played during the race weekend! This happened during the race weekend in Imola. After winning the Grand Prix, he participated in the virtual 24-hour of Le Mans, which he also won with his team!
Max Is Not Only A Racing Expert, But Also an Expert in … Cats!
When Max Verstappen is at home in Monaco, you can find him spending time with his two Bengal cats, who love his attention. However, Max’s knowledge of cats is not limited to his pets. In a recent post on the Red Bull F1 TikTok page, the current World Champion shows off his knowledge of different types of cats! It’s so impressive that fans have started calling Max “Cat Dad”!
