The Baku Grand Prix started on a bad note after Lando Norris wasn’t able to complete a decent qualifying lap and had to start in P15. However, Oscar Piastri still had the chance to win the race and McLaren wasn’t going to give up! After the first few laps, it was already clear that Lando Norris wasn’t going to give up either, which made this edition of the Baku Grand Prix all the more fun to watch!
Lando Norris Plays The Team Game And Helps Oscar And McLaren!
During the race, Lando Norris was driving in front of Sergio Perez, who was trying to pass Oscar Piastri while the Australian was in the pits. However, Lando Norris followed team instructions and held up Sergio Perez as much as possible. This way he prevented Perez from passing Oscar Piastri, who was just exiting the pit lane!
This was just what Oscar needed to take the battle for first back to Charles Leclerc. He eventually passed the Monegasque in the Ferrari and claimed the race lead! Charles came close to overtaking Piastri a few times after this, but the McLaren was just too fast.

Eventually, Oscar Piastri claimed his second win in Formula One by driving over the finish line under a virtual Safety car after a big crash between Sergio Perez and Carlos Sainz! By taking this victory, Oscar Piastri put McLaren in the lead of the constructor’s championships!
Lando Finishes P4 after a Crash between Perez and Sainz in the Penultimate Lap!
Lando Norris had a bad start to his weekend, which made him start on P15! However, with his amazing McLaren, he was able to gain a few positions just in the first few laps. No one expected him to be in the points, let alone in the top 5!
However, Norris never gave up and reached the top 10 in just 15 laps! This wasn’t enough for him so he kept pushing and kept passing cars until he finally was able to pass his Championship rival, Max Verstappen. However, things turned out even better for Lando Norris.

In the penultimate lap, Sergio Perez was battling Charles Leclerc for second place. However, by turning too late, he got passed by Carlos Sainz, putting Perez back and forth. After the turn where he got passed by Sainz, the Mexican collided with Sainz in a big crash, leaving both drivers out of the race. Max Verstappen and Lando Norris gained two positions, which made Lando finish on P4!
