When Did Justin Timberlake Get Charged?
Earlier this year, the popular pop star was stopped by police officers for passing a stop sign at high speeds. When stopped, Justin refused to take a breathalyzer test and said he only drank one martini. However, the officers who stopped the pop star concluded with a field sobriety test that the singer was seeing “blurred lines” and showed multiple signs of intoxication.
The officer arrested Justin and charged him with Driving under de influence. For this crime, there are multiple different punishments. It now comes down to a Judge to decide his faith and the punishment Justin Timberlake will receive!
What is his punishment now?
If Justin Timberlake really only had a drink, there would be no problem with taking a breathalyzer test. A martini is not enough to get you above the legal limit of alcohol in your blood. However, in the state of New York, it is an arrestable offence to refuse to partake in these tests. His license was also suspended for more than a year which means the pop star can’t drive anywhere.
In the latest developments of this case, it was concluded that Justin would take a plea deal! With this deal, he would have to pay a fine, however, the fine is nothing compared to the damages he could have caused if he was actually drunk or under the influence. The fine could be anywhere between 300 and 500 dollars, which for a famous pop star like him is some change! Eventually he admitted publicly that he was driving under the influence of alcohol.
