A famous TV chef has recently come out on social media stating that health professionals helped him to fight a potentially dangerous growth behind his ear. After the successful surgery, he now warns people to use sunscreen and make sure to protect themselves from the sun, so they don’t get the same.
Gordon Ramsay had Surgery To Remove Basal Cell Carcinoma
Everyone knows Gordon Ramsay as one of the hardest chefs in the world, with multiple programs showing how much he yells and swears at people who are “BS’ing” in his kitchen. What you often don’t get to see is his soft side, where he actually cares. However, with his expertise and cooking, he knows exactly what other people need to achieve their dreams of becoming the best chef they can be.

Most of the time, he posts fun things on his Instagram, sharing his life or sometimes even doing videos with his daughter. However, recently, it was a more serious post where he thanked the incredible health workers who helped him. This was because the celebrity recently underwent surgery to remove Basal Cell Carcinoma underneath his ear. Basal Cell Carcinoma is a type of skin cancer that appears on places where the sun reaches regularly. It often shows as a darker spot on the skin. However, if left untreated, the cells can grow uncontrollably and turn into a tumor.
Gordon Warns People to Protect Themselves By Using Sunscreen
The type of Skin Cancer Gordon Ramsay had could have been prevented by using enough sunscreen on places that are often hit by the sun. So in his post, he tries to give people the advice to keep using sunscreen to prevent it from happening to them as well. Other ways to prevent it from happening are to reapply the sunscreen and go into places with shade regularly.
