One of the investors couldn’t raise the money
Film-makers have a budget that they have to work with. Most movies go a little over budget, however, new movie projects have to find investors to fund the staff, materials and other resources. They must work with tight budgets and deadlines, which was also the case for the John Wick series.
One week before filming, one of the investors pulled out since they weren’t able to raise the money they promised. So they were 6 million dollars short for the movie. Both the director and Keanu Reeves were already investing their own money into the movie as they believed in the Wick series.
Eva Longoria saved John Wick!
With just under 24 hours to go before the project was shut down, Eva Longoria decided to invest in the John Wick movie. This money was the last they needed to be able to bring John Wick to success. Later Eva claimed that investing money into John Wick was one of the best decisions she had ever made. The franchise has grossed over 1 billion dollars over 4 movies. And without Eva’s help, it would have never happened!
Eva Longoria also said that she was willing to play a role in one of the Wick movies. She has mentioned that she wants to get into more Action stuff. However, there has not been the right role for her in the movies yet.
