Most people like to keep work and personal relationships separate. They don’t want awkward feelings if things don’t work out, and they don’t want to be looked at differently by other team members. However, in 2016, two soldiers decided to cross these boundaries and give it a go by doing it in an Apache Helicopter. Unfortunately, it did not turn out the way they wanted it to! Two Soldiers were getting frisky in an Apache Helicopter
Forget the mile-high club, two soldiers at Northumberland’s Otterburn Training Camp were found having sex in the cockpit of an £8.5 million helicopter. This is something most of us will never be able to achieve unless we would enlist in the army! The Helicopter was equipped with HellFire missiles and multiple cannons, so it was not safe for the couple to be there.
They were found by the maintenance crew who were checking the helicopter, and weren’t expecting anyone in the cockpit! However, when the crew approached the helicopter, they noticed that there was a slight movement of the machine and weird noises were coming from the inside! The soldiers who were fooling around in the expensive aircraft were found half naked and both intoxicated. The official report stated that the incident involved a male soldier in uniform and a female in civilian attire. The two were detained until the commanding officers arrived. The punishment they received is not public yet.
The military now has better security near the Helicopter on their base
It might sound incredibly insane and highly unlikely that this could happen. However, there was not much security around the apache helicopter which made the act of the couple possible! After the soldiers were caught, the air base raised its security measures to prevent this from happening in the future.
