When you’re out in the ocean and your boat starts sinking, you hope that you can contact the Coast Guard or other rescue services to come to help you out. At that point, you don’t really care who saves you, as long as you end up safe! However, a group of four people who were on the brink of sinking their Catamaran boat were saved by a Disney Themed cruise! Keep on reading and discover more about it!
Disney Cruise Saves people from sinking Catamaran
Four people who were enjoying their time on a catamaran ended up in a disaster when their boat started sinking. Water started entering the boat because of a failure in the escape hatch. At the time, they were around 230 miles from the coast, so swimming back wouldn’t have been an option! The passengers immediately called the Coast Guard for help, which then sent a broadcast out to all ships in their area.
One of the boats receiving the broadcast was a Disney Cruise. They immediately got into action and went out to help the family. In the end, they used one of their small boats to rescue the people from the catamaran. It was a good thing that the cruise ship was relatively near and was able to help. Otherwise, the situation could have ended far worse than it did! None of the Catamaran passengers had any injuries and were safely helped aboard the Disney Treasure ship.
Their saviours couldn’t have been better!
The Catamaran’s passengers’ worst-case scenario turned out to be a little less painful after being rescued by a Disney cruise. The cruise was on its way from the Netherlands back to the United States. The 4 people who were rescued from the catamaran got to enjoy the rest of the trip on the giant Disney-themed ship and enjoyed it the best they could!
