Seeing one of your childhood heroes, or your “spirit animal” in real life is always fun. Many people can relate to Cookie Monster and his love for cookies. However, most people can now relate even more, since Cookie Monster was Caught driving a little bit too fast. However, he did it in quite a rare car! Keep on reading to discover more!

Our Monster was Caught driving “Reckless”

The person driving the wagon was going over the speed limit and got caught by a speeding camera. By speeding the driver gave us a unique photo of having one of the muppets driving a car. The car he was driving was a rare Audi Wagon model, which makes this occurrence even less likely to happen!

You might think that the Cookie Monster was excessively speeding, however, he was just going 11km/h over the speed limit which is just 6.8 mph! So the speeding wasn’t that bad, but it still gave the owner of the car a fine. We think that the reason Cookie Monster was speeding was because he ran out of Cookies at home! The fine he has to pay for this crime is only €40, which could buy him quite some cookies in Germany!

The car in which the person dressed up like Cookie Monster was driving, was a rare version of an older Audi. It was an Audi RS2 Savant, which is the first wagon Audi designed with performance in mind. The RS2 Savant was a collaboration between Porsche and Audi and not many were made. The estimated total number of Audi RS2 Savants produced is just under 3000 units. The car was also produced between 1994 and 1995, which makes it almost 30 years old. So seeing it is quite rare. Luckily we now have this amazing photo of Cookie Monster driving the car “Recklessly”, as this is what the car was designed for!
