However, Chevrolet decided to go even a step further and create the first American hypercar killer, by creating the ZR1 X! This new car will have over 1250 hp and a ridiculously fast 0-60mph time! The new Corvette ZR1 X will have 1250 hp!
Recently, Corvette has announced its latest model to join the 2026 lineup of cars, and it is powerful! Many of us thought the Corvette C8 ZR8 was going to be the Corvette beast. However, there have been some new developments, and Chevrolet decided to give us another incredibly powerful car for 2026. The new Corvette ZR1 X is a hybrid supercar with Hypercar performance. It comes with 1250 hp, around 1060 are from the twin turbo V8, while the rest comes from a new Hybrid system. It features the 2026 interior, which means that there are almost no buttons inside and will be controlled by touchscreens.
The car will have a 0-60mph time of under 2 seconds and is optimized for the track. It will have a “Qualifying mode” for single lap pace. In addition, it will also have a push-to-pass button that gives you access to the full 1250hp by pressing the driving control button.

This ZR1 X Will Be A Hypercar Killer
The ZR1 X is an incredibly powerful car with performance numbers that are equal to Hypercars like the Ferrari F80 and the McLaren W1. However, the price of the new ZR1 X will be ten to twenty times less than these hypercars. While the price has not been confirmed yet, rumors are saying that it will be around 250.000$. This is an insane amount of money, but also an insane amount of “car”. Previously, these numbers were only available to cars that had a price tag of $1M+.
