We have all been in a very bad traffic jam after work or when going somewhere. Most of us have the slight idea that they’d want to be able to just lift off and fly over the traffic jam with their car. Well, soon this might not be a dream anymore as a Chinese electric car producer has developed a car that can fly out of traffic jams, without you having to lift a finger!
Chery’s Car Already Completed A 50 Mile test flight!
It is not the first time we have heard about flying cars being introduced. Many companies worldwide have announced prototypes of flying cars to reduce urban traffic. However, these cars have never made it into real-life cars which would be worth it. This was until Chery, a Chinese electric car brand, came out with their “land and Air vehicle”.

This Land and air vehicle takes inspiration from the Tesla Cybercab and the Robovan! It has no pedals or steering wheel making it fully autonomous! It is also not just a hoax to get more interest in the company’s other models, since they have developed a functioning model and completed a 50-mile test flight with the flying car!
Chery brings out batteries that give electric cars a 1500km range!
One of the most frustrating things for electric car owners is the time they charge their batteries when going on road trips. However, the Chinese brand has announced multiple new battery designs to prevent this problem from happening. Their new batteries would have 6C charging and a density of 400Wh/kg. However, they’re trying to raise this to 600Wh/kg. The last battery would make it possible to reach up to 1500km on electric batteries, which is significantly more than the batteries most electric cars have right now!
For example, the average electric car gets anywhere between 200km and 480km on a full charge depending on the batteries and driving style of the owner of the car. This would mean that the new batteries give you 3 to 7 times more range on a full charge!
