However, for football fans, the FIFA Club World Cup Final was the most interesting to watch. The final was between Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea FC and was won by the latter. The team was happy, but their celebration was crashed by a very well-known person!
Chelsea Beats PSG in FIFA Club World Cup Finale!
When you look at the stats, you would think that PSG would have won. They had the ball in their possession for more than a third of the time, and shot at the goal 6 times. However, they couldn’t finish their attacks, while Chelsea did. After the final whistle blew, Chelsea won with a 3-0 score and became the FIFA Club World Cup winners!
Cole Palmer was definitely the man of the match in the game against PSG. The attacking midfielder was able to score twice before the halftime show of Coldplay. This put the team in a 2-0 lead when the halftime whistle was blown. In the second half, it was João Pedro who scored the third goal of the match with an assist from Cole Palmer. The players of Paris Saint-Germain were not able to finish any of their attacks, losing the final of the FIFA Club World Cup. Winning the football match gave Chelsea the £100 million prize which will be divided between the players.
President Donald Trump Crashes Celebrations
The football match was played in New Jersey, US, so President Donald Trump was also watching the game. However, he also got a special role after the game was done. During the award ceremony, Donald Trump and FIFA president Gianni Infantino handed the trophy to the Chelsea captain. While Infantino left the stage to allow the players their iconic photograph moment, Donald Trump stayed.
Man of the match Cole Palmer, who was standing right behind him, was visibly confused. He later said in an interview that he did not know that Trump was going to stay on stage. Eventually, the team accepted that Donald was waiting and celebrated their victory.
