Before Facetime was a thing, calls were made with landlines. Housphones were also still a thing in most households. However, to call someone you often had to pay per minute. There was this one lady who thought she could get away with cheating on her husband if she kept the calls to her lover under one minute. However, this is not how it works.
The husband found out after he received a phone bill of £700, for phone calls made to a number in Scotland. The lady thought that if the calls stayed under a minute, they wouldn’t show up on the invoice… it was a real shock for her when she realised they actually did! Especially when her boyfriend confronted her with the extra charges!
Partner’s Colleague Says The Wrong Name!
A man who was looking for a new house was visiting a potential new purchase with a realtor when the actual homeowner came to the house. They started talking and it turned out that the homeowner was a colleague of his Girlfriend. As soon as the homeowner realised it was her colleague’s partner she had heard a lot about, she said: “Ah so you are the Tom she is always talking about.” The man visiting the house unfortunately wasn’t named Tom. An unfortunate soul was talking to his friends after he and his partner broke up. While trying to console the friend, his friends told him “Well that is what happens when you’re in an open relationship with 3 other men.” However, the dumped friend never knew about the “openness” of his now previous relationship.
Apparently, the friend group saw the girl out with another man, and she informed them they were in an open relationship so it was all good. So the friends never mentioned it, which probably was a mistake on their part too.

A man once asked his girlfriend if she wanted to hang out after completing his schoolwork. She claimed that she was sick so she couldn’t come over.
