Sinner had to overcome an elbow injury he got during his fourth-round match of the tournament. The first set of the match was won by Carlos Alcaraz, but Jannik Sinner didn’t give up. The Italian player went on to win the next three sets, defeating Carlos Alcaraz and securing the Wimbledon 2025 championship. The scores of the four sets were:

  • 6-4
  • 6-4
  • 6-4

This victory is just over a month after Alcaraz beat Skinner in the French Open Final in a marathon that lasted five hours and 29 minutes. It was also the first time since 2008 that the same players played each other in the finals of two Grand Slam tournaments of the same year. Since it was the men’s finals, there was a big crowd. Even the Prince and Princess of Wales and their kids were spotted watching the game.

Plane Crashes After Takeoff From London Airport!

On July 13th, a plane crashed near London Southend Airport in an unusual air incident. A small plane crashed seconds after takeoff and caused disruptions for the rest of the scheduled flights. Keep on reading to discover more about what happened!

What happened at London Southend Airport

Earlier today, a private plane, scheduled to go to the Netherlands, crashed shortly after taking off from London Southend Airport. After the plane hit the ground, it created a massive fireball with a giant plume of black smoke coming from it. Essex Police was working with all emergency services to help as soon as possible and to get the situation under control. People who saw the crash said that the plane took off for about 4 seconds. Then it suddenly started banking to its left, then inverted and dived nose-first to the ground.

The Plane Crash Disrupted Airport Operations, Caused Multiple Cancellations, and disrupted other services.

The fire and smoke coming from the plane caused other problems at the airport. They had to cancel five international flights as it would not be safe to take off. Authorities also evacuated multiple sports clubs like the Rochford Hundred Golf Club and Westcliff Rugby Club, as they were very close to the crash site. However, these evacuations were just precautionary!

The Number of Casualties Is Unclear

The Beech B200 Super King Air, is a plane that can hold up to 13 passengers, but this does not mean that it was filled to max occupancy. Especially for shorter charter flights, the planes will be configured for fewer people. Four ambulances were deployed to the crash site. However, they have not been able to tell us anything more about who was on the plane.

The real reason for the crash is still unknown. However, the Beech B200 Super King Air is a model that has been involved in multiple incidents globally. The cause of the incident is mostly related to mechanical issues.

The 900-page Bill has a hidden clause for Gamblers

The reason the bill was named “The Big Beautiful Bill” is that it was nearly 900 pages long. Only after the bill was passed did people start to notice some of the details. While most changes were already publicly known, there were some changes that were just skipped by most people.

However, in the 900-page document, there is a hidden clause for professional gamblers and the way their income works. The key change? A change in the Loss Deduction Cap from 100% to 90% which is not beneficial for gamblers at all.

Why is the bill a problem for Gamblers?

For the rest of 2025, gamblers can deduct 100% of their losses from their income. So, if they win $ 100,000 and then lose $ 100,000, they would break even for income tax purposes. However, starting from 2026, Gamblers will only be able to deduct 90% of their losses. So even if they lose $100.000, for tax purposes, they can only deduct $90.000.

This would mean that for the IRS, they would still owe taxes on those $10.000, which they don’t have. So gamblers have a chance of paying taxes on phantom income. Most professional Gamblers work with thin margins and play with big amounts. This means that they will be at risk for having to pay income tax on money they never made.

This change could eventually lead professional gamblers to leave the US. In addition, the prize pools for these competitions might become smaller, which makes them less attractive. This would cause damage to the existing gambling ecosystem.

Japan’s National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) has just broken the internet speed record. They have managed to revolutionize the fiber-optic cable by making a 19-core version of it. By using this cable, they were able to reach an internet speed of 1.02 petabits per second.

The most impressive part? They managed to keep the cables the same size as the fiber-optic cables already in use. So the current infrastructure wouldn’t have to be changed much. The technology has been used to successfully transmit data over 1800+ kilometers, showing that it would be usable for intercontinental data transmission.

What can you do with this type of download speed?

The internet speed of 1.02 petabits per second is more than 16 million times the speed of India’s average download speed. Another comparison is that it is about 3.5 million times the speed of the average American household. Still not clear how fast the internet speed actually is? The star of the show was by far the Z-Fold 7. It’s Samsung’s answer to all the foldable phones that kept getting thinner and better. For example, the Honor V4, which was released last year, looked years ahead of the Z-fold 6. However, Samsung has now taken its phones to the next level. When the phone is closed, it’s only 8,9mm thick, similar to an iPhone 16 Pro Max. However, when folded open, the phone is only 4,2mm thick, making it the thinnest foldable smartphone on the market.

With the new thickness of the phone, people might question how sturdy and reliable the phone is. This is why, to make sure the new thinner phone is sturdier, there is a small ridge around the inside screen to make sure the screen is protected. The hinge is also redesigned to be thinner, better, and longer-lasting!

One of the only negative parts of the new thin phone is the fact that it has the same-sized battery as the previous model, while other thin smartphones use new technology to have batteries with higher capacities. It starts at $499, and features the look of a normal watch. It has a steel case and a rotating bezel that is used to navigate through the device.
