Now, 140 years later, we have entered an era where most new supercars boast over 1000 horsepower, and machines that bend physics to achieve new top speeds. Rimac Nevera R claims 24 automotive records

The Rimac Nevera R has broken over 20 automotive records in one of its latest performance tests. The main record they wanted to break: The 0-400-0km/h of 27.83 seconds set by the Koenigsegg Jesko, but the Rimac Nevera R did in 2 seconds less than the Jesko!

However, this was not the only record the car claimed during this run. For example, the Rimac Nevera R now holds the record for 0-100km/h with a time of 1.72 seconds. In addition, it also holds the new record for 100km/h to 200km/h, in 2.2 seconds. While these numbers might be incredible, car enthusiasts are not really convinced by them. The performance is incredible, but the Nevera R is an all-electric hypercar, while the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut is a gasoline powered car!

Rimac vs. Koenigsegg vs. Bugatti

Ferrari and Lamborghini are battling each other for the best-looking supercars, and it is close. However, the real competition is between Rimac, Koenigsegg, and Bugatti. Bugatti was the first to reach speeds of 300mph+. Koenigsegg held the previous record for the 0-400-0 speed with the Jesko. Recently, Rimac claimed this record with their Nevera R. However, experts in the car world are expecting Koenigsegg to take it back with their latest creation, the Sadair Spear!

According to a study by F&G Annuities & Life, nearly one in four Americans over 50 are delaying their retirement. This is an increase of more than 60% from the previous year. If you thought this was bad, then the following numbers will stun you even more. Around 70% of the pre-retirees are thinking about delaying the day they will retire! The current Full Retirement Age in the US, to receive all Social Security benefits, is 67.

Why Are These People Delaying Their Retirement?

During the study, they also asked why these people were thinking about delaying their retirement or what caused them to do so already. Half of the people gave the same answer as their main reason for considering the delay. The reason was “Financial uncertainties”.

Most of these people would either not have enough retirement funds or wouldn’t be able to save more in the years they still have left, while others are afraid that inflation and living costs will go up even more, making the average retirement payments not enough to support their living expenses.

Retired people back on the workfloor?

It has even gotten so bad that one-third of the retired community in the United States is considering going back to work. They’re afraid that their retirement payments won’t be enough to keep up with the rising living costs in the United States. According to a study done by Prudential Financial, the average 55-year-old employee has only around $50,000 saved, which is just $10,000 over the average yearly income. This is not enough to supplement their income if costs keep rising.

The Tomorrowland main stage burns down during testing

One of the biggest attractions of the Tomorrowland festival is the magic that it brings with it. And a big part of that magic is the decor on the main stage. Each year, it has a certain theme, and the stages are decorated with incredible details. While most of this is done weeks before the festival starts, there are certain things that have to be tested during the days leading up to the festival. Part of the tests are for all the pyrotechnic machines to ensure that everything is safe. This is where it all went wrong. An accident occurred during one of these tests, causing a big fire which burned the complete mainstage to the ground.

They don’t have enough time to rebuild the stage, even if they have all the material available. It takes around 2 weeks for the Tomorrowland team to create the physical structure of the main stage. And then it takes another 2 weeks to apply all the decorations and make sure all the lights work!

The Show Must (And Will) Go On!

With most people traveling from all across the world, and with over 400.000 people expected to visit the festival, it was too late to cancel. So the organisation responsible for Tomorrowland has decided that the show must go on.

Currently, there are thousands of campers already setting up their tents and other sleep arrangements. However, once the festival doors open, they won’t be able to check out the majestic main stage, which is one of the biggest parts of the festival.

Another thing that hasn’t been confirmed yet is what will happen to all the mainstage performances. The mainstage is reserved for the biggest names at the festival. So now that there is no mainstage, it will have to be moved to other stages on the festival grounds. For many people, some of these DJ sets are the sole reason they want to visit the festival. So, if any of these performances were to get canceled, people might demand a refund for their tickets.

However, most experts think they are a bit too late to the party as multiple other robotaxi companies were already operating in different states. Uber becomes Lucid’s Second-Biggest Shareholder

While there are multiple self-driving taxi services available in the US, most people still don’t use them as they’re just not part of the ecosystem they’re used to. However, Uber, decided to join the party as well by investing in their own fleet of robotaxis. To achieve this, they have partnered up with US EV maker Lucid by buying a stake in the company. Uber is planning to invest $300 million, which would make it the second-largest shareholder of Lucid.

Alongside the investment that Uber will put into Lucid, they will also make a major investment in partner company Nuro. The company is responsible for building the sensors and the self-driving software of these new cars. And while the real number has not been disclosed yet, it is rumored to be more than 100 million dollars!

20.000 Vehicles in their Robotaxi Fleet!

In the deal, Uber promises to buy 20.000 Lucid Gravity SUV vehicles from the electric car company. However, these won’t be the ones you could buy yourself. These SUVs are going to be modified versions of the car that use Nuro’s self-driving technology to be implemented as self-driving taxis. These 20.000 cars will be produced in America, and Nuro’s tech will be installed during the production of the cars. All of the modified SUVs should be on the road in 6 years. The giant ride company has not confirmed which US state will receive the first Uber Robotaxis yet, but it is rumored to be in a big city.

On July 14th, HBO finally started the production of the show with the first recordings of the new series that takes a deeper dive into the wizarding world. It is rumored that this season of the Harry Potter tv show will have around eight, one hour, episodes. Every school year will get its own season with eight episodes each. It will definitely be a long binge-watch once everything has been released!

Most people think Eight episodes per school year might be a long stretch. But real fans know that the wizarding world has enough to offer to keep your eyes glued to the screen for each episode. This is if they execute the idea property and keep things interesting.

When can you expect the show?

Were you hoping to watch the pilot episode of this show any time soon? Then we have some unfortunate news for you. It is true that they have started recording the show this year. However, HBO said that it will only be released in 2027, which is just under a year and a half from now.

If you really can’t wait until then, we advise you to watch one of the Harry Potter movies per month. By the time you have finished it two times, you’ll probably be able to watch the new show as well!

Just a few days ago, Bitcoin reached a new all-time high, after previously being stuck at $112.000 per coin. However, it seems like the crypto has gotten more interested investors. Yesterday, the coin broke its own record again and reached a value of $120.000 per coin! However, people seem careful as they expect the value of the coin to crash.

Bitcoin is Adopted in Multiple ETFs

Yesterday, for the first time since the launch of Bitcoin, the coin’s value broke the $120.000 mark. This is an excellent ending to a week where the coin continued to gain more and more value. Part of the reason why Bitcoin has been growing so much in the past weeks is that multiple ETFs started to include Bitcoin in their portfolios as well. These ETFs have gained over $2.7 billion in the past week. Experts think that Bitcoin will keep rising in the next few months. The predicted new all-time high is $140.00, which could be reached in the next few months!

This week is Crypto week in the U.S.

On July 14th, the United States will start Crypto week, which is not a week to celebrate cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, but signifies a week where lawmakers will vote on multiple cryptocurrency bills. These bills are all part of President Trump’s digital assets agenda. However, lawmakers will first have to vote on 3 different bills:

The Genius Act: This would create the first federal regulatory framework for stablecoins by requiring full backing with the U.S. dollar.
The Clarity Act: This bill will try to establish a comprehensive regulatory framework for digital assets by dividing the oversight between the SEC and the CFTC.
The Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act: This bill would prohibit the Federal Reserve from issuing a central bank digital currency without explicit congressional authorization.

These bills may give cryptocurrencies the boost they need to go mainstream and become widely accepted methods of payment and investment by the public.

This past weekend has been an amazing weekend for sports enthusiasts. For tennis fans, the Wimbledon Final between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz was the most important choice. However, for football fans, the FIFA Club World Cup Final was the most interesting to watch. The final was between Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea FC and was won by the latter. The team was happy, but their celebration was crashed by a very well-known person!

Chelsea Beats PSG in FIFA Club World Cup Finale!

When you look at the stats, you would think that PSG would have won. They had the ball in their possession for more than a third of the time, and shot at the goal 6 times. However, they couldn’t finish their attacks, while Chelsea did. After the final whistle blew, Chelsea won with a 3-0 score and became the FIFA Club World Cup winners!

Cole Palmer was definitely the man of the match in the game against PSG. The attacking midfielder was able to score twice before the halftime show of Coldplay. This put the team in a 2-0 lead when the halftime whistle was blown. In the second half, it was João Pedro who scored the third goal of the match with an assist from Cole Palmer. The players of Paris Saint-Germain were not able to finish any of their attacks, losing the final of the FIFA Club World Cup. Winning the football match gave Chelsea the £100 million prize which will be divided between the players.

President Donald Trump Crashes Celebrations

The football match was played in New Jersey, US, so President Donald Trump was also watching the game. However, he also got a special role after the game was done. During the award ceremony, Donald Trump and FIFA president Gianni Infantino handed the trophy to the Chelsea captain. While Infantino left the stage to allow the players their iconic photograph moment, Donald Trump stayed.

Man of the match Cole Palmer, who was standing right behind him, was visibly confused. He later said in an interview that he did not know that Trump was going to stay on stage. Eventually, the team accepted that Donald was waiting and celebrated their victory.

Ford Breaks Record For Most Recalls In a Single Year!

Ford is known to be one of the biggest American car brands in History. However, the great name of the brand has been tainted in the past few years. And especially this year, they’re not doing great. The manufacturer just broke the annual safety recall record, and this is even before we reached the middle of the year. Keep on reading to discover what these recalls were for and how many vehicles were affected.

If you thought that Nissan’s recall of nearly 500.000 cars was bad, then you probably will never buy a Ford ever again. In Q2 of 2025 alone, Ford recalled over 3.3 million cars. The recalls weren’t specific to certain cars either; they included nearly the entire Ford and Lincoln lineup of cars.

Ford Breaks Annual Safety Recall Record

While most of the time it is cool to break records, there are some that you prefer not to break. Unfortunately for Ford, they’ve broken one of the worst records an automaker can break. In the first 6 months of 2025, Ford issued in between 82 and 88 safety recalls. This is more than any carmaker has ever done…. in a full year! Ford vehicles made up over 45% of all recalled vehicles in Q2 of 2025, and are responsible for nearly half of all recalls in 2025.

Why were the vehicles recalled?

While some of the recalls from Ford were for things that didn’t have a huge impact on the safety of the car, like loose or dislodged airbag indicator lights. There were others, like the Do Not Drive warning for Super Duty trucks, which had bigger underlying issues. For example, these trucks could have a potential brake failure due to missing a brake booster pushrods that retain the springs. One of the biggest recalls was for a faulty backup camera issue. This problem affected over 1 million different vehicles across multiple model years.
