We all dream about driving a supercar such as a Ferrari, a Porsche or even a McLaren. However, when you finally get to the level of buying these cars, you suddenly become the target for crimes such as grand theft auto, no not the game, and other things. The car is expensive which means that you are a high-value target to steal some stuff from. This is something a man in Connecticut, USA experienced last month.
He parked his Ferrari, valued at around 575.000 dollars, outside in a parking lot! However, when the car’s owner returned, the car was missing. He immediately contacted the police to report the car stolen, but the way they were able to find it might surprise you!
“Find My” Feature Helps Locate The Stolen Ferrari
The Ferrari owner had a pair of AirPods, which he left in the car while it was parked. Apple has a feature to find your AirPods if you have lost them. You’ll see the live location of your Apple Devices, including AirPods, and you can let a little sound play from them to find them. Because of Apple’s “Find My” feature, the police department was able to live track the location of the car. Eventually, they tracked and stopped the car thief at a gas station.

The thief tried to flee the scène and was eventually arrested by the police department. Luckily the car was reunited with the owner without too much damage! The costs of repairs on these cars can quickly rack up an insanely high bill, which no one wants to pay!
Great Marketing For Apple’s Newest Airpods!
This story went viral online, giving a lot of credit to Apple’s Find My feature and its AirPods. The timing couldn’t be more perfect. Just a week before the Ferrari was stolen, Apple announced the newest generation of their AirPods lineup in their yearly event. This gave the company some free and excellent marketing!
