Multiple organizations are warning that there is a rise in the use of Artificial intelligence to create realistic but fake nude images of women, and it is becoming a “normal” thing. One of the biggest cases was when Callie Jane Beech found a fake nude image of herself. However, officials can’t really do anything against these AI programs yet, and it is very difficult to find the people who create the pictures as not all of them share them online! As AI-generated sexual content becomes more prevalent, experts stress the need for updated legislation to prevent the creation and solicitation of such images, providing better protection for victims.

More and more teens also are the victim in these cases. For example, adults with bad intentions can now create these pictures themselves without needing nudes from their victims. So pedophiles have more access to child pornography while the kids are not even aware that a picture was taken.
However, it is not only the adults we have to watch out for with teens. With these “nudify” apps, it is possible for young men to nudify the girls in their class and can use it to bully or blackmail them. The apps that are capable of doing this are often advertised on platforms used by kids, such as TikTok. A survey found that around 13% of teens would have encountered nude deepfakes and have easy access to these sources.
The laws in place will only fight these issues but won’t protect people from them. So, by the time someone gets punished, the damage will already be done, and someone else’s life could be ruined!
