After Red Bull came to an agreement with the FIA for adjustable parts, teams thought that Max’s performance would dip. This would confirm that Red Bull was cheating before! However, the opposite is true, Max was able to perform like a real champion in the sprint race today!
Max Verstappen Wins Sprint Race
After an incredibly close qualifying session for the Sprint race, Max Verstappen could start on pole position. And even though the Dutch world champion doesn’t like the extra races, he is incredibly good at winning them. He has proven this to be true by winning the sprint race of the Austin Grand Prix!
By winning the COTA Sprint race, Max Verstappen continues his streak of winning sprint races in 2024. Up until now, he has won every single one of them during this season. There are 2 more sprint races to go and looking at Max’s pace today, he may win all sprint races of this season!
Ferrari will be the team to look at
Ferrar is the only top team that didn’t bring any upgrades to the cars for the Austin Grand Prix. However, it seemed like they did not need it at all. The performance of Carlos Sainz, who finished the sprint race in second place and Charles Leclerc who ended in fourth, shows that they will be a real competitor during the actual race! However, a sprint race is not really a good example of what the actual race will look like. The qualifying session to determine the actual starting grid for the Grand Prix tomorrow will be held later tonight!
