The platform became the Second-Largest Website in Google’s U.S. Search results
By Google’s U.S. search results, as of April 2025, Reddit has become the second-largest website. The only website that is still bigger is Wikipedia. This was reconfirmed by Reddit’s Q2 2025 earnings. It showed the strongest financial performance of the platform to date. It had a net income of $89 million and adjusted earnings per share of $0.45, which exceeded the analyst forecast of $0.19. The platform now has more than 110 million daily users and has more than 1.1 billion monthly users.
Reddit expands “Reddit Answers” to more markets
In December 2024, Reddit Answers launched. The program uses AI to provide summaries from millions of related Reddit conversations. The AI search has gained over 6 million users in the past 8 months, while the core Reddit search serves over 70 million users weekly. When the program launched, it was only available to users in the U.S. However, it has since expanded to nine other countries and even launched a desktop, Android, and iOS version so more people can use it.
CEO Huffman said that “Reddit is built for this moment”, and stated that people are craving more conversations with real humans. The eventual goal is to become the most trusted place on the internet by having millions and millions of people contribute to the different forums!
