This Superman movie is the first movie written by James Gunn after leaving Marvel. Movie critics gave it a lot of compliments during exclusive press viewings, and apparently, they were right. The new Superman movie managed to rake in more than $300 million in its first eight days since its release. $177 million came from domestic revenue, while $125 million came in from other countries all over the world. In total, Warner Bros. invested around $225 million in production costs to complete the movie. It also serves as a re-launch of the DC comics cinematic universe. The film has gotten an A-CinemaScore. However, the numbers from outside of the US are less than expected. For example, China is expected to contribute less than $10 million, which shows that the interest in US-based superhero films is decreasing in other parts of the world.

The film earned $416.2 million domestically and $584.8 million in the rest of the world!
Lilo and Stitch is the fourth billion-dollar movie of Disney in the past 13 months, the others are Moana 2, Deadpool & Wolverine, and Inside Out 2. Disney has already confirmed a sequel to the movie.
