Football fans from all over the world woke up to some seriously sad news on Thursday, July 3rd. Portuguese Liverpool player Diogo Jota, and his little brother Andre Silva unfortunately passed away. Both brothers were involved in a deadly car accident while they were driving in Spain.

The news of the Liverpool player passing away has caused many football fans to visit the Anfield monument and pay their respect. Thousands of people who are fans of different teams placed their shirts next to the monument. There was no rivalry at the moment. Most fans are also shocked for the family of the Portuguese footballer. Diogo Jota leaves behind his wife and three kids, who are all under 8 years old. As they were passing another car in their Lamborghini, one of the car’s tires popped, which caused them to fly off the road. The car then caught fire, which is most likely how Diogo and Andre died. Spanish officials said that it was most likely a speeding incident. This morning, a ceremony was held in the hometown of the two brothers. Tomorrow, Saturday 5th of July, the funeral will be held.
