Diddy in Court FT

Rapper Puff Diddy was arrested for multiple crimes earlier this year. The trial has finally ended, and it is now time for the jury to decide. These people will have to come to a unanimous agreement on the Diddy verdict. As long as one of the members of the jury doesn’t agree, the case can’t be closed. However, apparently, the jury is having trouble deciding on the last charge, which was racketeering. Keep on reading to discover more about it.

Jury in Diddy case has reached a Verdict on 4 out of 5 charges

After the trial, the jury only took 2 days to agree on four out of the five charges for Mr Diddy. This could be positive for Diddy verdict on his side. However, there is still one of the charges that is blocking the whole Diddy verdict from becoming public. Diddy is charged with two charges of sex trafficking, two charges of transportation to engage in prostitution, and one charge of racketeering conspiracy.

Since these jurors can’t come to a conclusion, they will probably have to sit together on July 3rd to find a final solution for the Diddy verdict. This is something that normally doesn’t happen as the courts are often closed the day before the 4th of July holiday!

The Decision On The Racketeering Charge is Still Uncertain

There is one charge that the jury is having difficulty coming to a unanimous conclusion on. If the Diddy verdict comes back and they find him guilty of racketeering conspiracy, he faces a minimum sentence of 15 years. This sentence will be in addition to all the other punishments he’ll get from the other four charges.

The prosecution urged the jury to use an Allen Charge. For those who don’t know: this is a list of instructions that helps a jury that’s stuck. They want to use this to press the jury members to come to a conclusion about the case. The final Diddy verdict isn’t made public yet, but it is not looking good for the rapper.
