Mercedes is looking to take on the Porsche Tycan and to do this they’ve announced the AMG GT XX. It is a new EV that is faster than their 1.5 million hypercar, the AMG One. The concept car has a bright orange color and some unique design elements. In addition, it would be the most drag-efficient car ever made! Have you not seen the release yet? Mercedes’ new AMG GT XX Concept is Porsche’s direct competition
Mercedes has multiple fast and sporty cars. Especially when you look at the AMG GTS and AMG GTR . However, these cars are not electric and only have two doors. The design of the new AMG GT XX is inspired by the C111, particularly evident at the front of the car. At the back of the car, you’ll find fighter jet-like taillights and a screen made up of over 700 LED lights. You can show multiple messages on this screen; however, you can only choose from preset messages.
The concept is filled with tech, like automatic closing wheel covers to reach higher top speeds and feel better on track. Inside the car, you’ll find a racing car-inspired steering wheel and an upgraded infotainment system. It is Mercedes’ most aerodynamic car, and can reach higher top speeds than the Mercedes AMG one! With 1360 hp and a top speed of 224mph, it will be Mercedes’s fastest road production car
Will this concept car actually be made?
Unfortunately, we will most likely never see a production version of this specific car. The car you can expect will be inspired by this one. However, it will be a calmer, toned-down version to fit your day-to-day life more. We will probably not get the industrial look on the inside of the car!
