Whenever big brands unveil their latest high-performance cars, they receive a great deal of attention. However, the prototypes of most cars don’t get the same treatment. Engler’s Mosslr managed to break that stereotype and became one of the most talked-about concept cars of the time.

The Mosslr is a hypercar concept inspired by the legendary Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss. The Slovakian manufacturer wants to pay tribute to this car, while still delivering a new engineering bravado and spectacle. Whether it will deliver on its promises remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: this car was designed to make a statement.

This is not just another concept with wild specs. It’s part homage, part ambition, and if it actually hits production, it could mark a bold new chapter for boutique carmakers in Europe.

The Mosslr concept comes with an incredible price tag

Three Mosslr variants have been announced, each one upping the ante. The base model is a V8 delivering 740 horsepower—no slouch by any standard. Then there’s the V12 Collector’s Edition, tuned for 838 horsepower. But the real attention-grabber is the 986-hp Performance trim, also powered by a V8, that claims to break 217 mph. Engler says just 75 units will be produced, mirroring the original SLR Stirling Moss run.

Pricing starts at €710,000, with the Performance trim reportedly climbing past €790,000. The cost reflects not just horsepower but exclusivity and aesthetics. Inside, drivers can expect a leather-heavy cabin and a feature called the “Time Machine” sound system, though little is known about what that actually means.

For now, the Mosslr exists as a prototype, and no real-world testing has been confirmed. That hasn’t stopped pre-launch buzz, especially among collectors and enthusiasts looking for something that blends heritage and spectacle.

From Slovakia to the Supercar Spotlight

Engler isn’t a household name in the automotive space, but they’re making moves to change that. Production is said to begin within six to nine months. Whether the Mosslr arrives as promised or gets lost in the fog of vaporware will depend on how quickly Engler can move from renders to reality. Until then, it’s a hypercar wrapped in ambition and priced for the daring.
