Last weekend YouTube boxer Jake Paul and Boxing Legend Mike Tyson fought each other. The fight was labeled as “Clash of Generations since Mike Tyson is 58 and Jake Paul is 27! This boxing event was one of the most viewed boxing events of all time. Everyone with a Netflix subscription was able to watch it live on their platform! Jake Paul ended up winning the fight after 8 rounds by unanimous decision! However, after the fight, the internet blew up about the different controversies from the fight. Fans just witnessed a 27-year-old beat up a 58-year-old!
After the fight, other fighters from different sports commented that this is the reason why fighters stop when they’re young as the body can’t handle the stress of a real fight anymore. They also commented that it is disgraceful that Jake just beat up a 58-year-old man and was proud of it. British YouTube boxer KSI, Jake’s biggest rival on the platform, spoke out in a video that Jake would destroy Mike Tyson just because he is old and not because Jake is a better boxer.
There was no pace in the fight
Between the two fighters, 27-year-old Jake Paul threw more than 278 punches, of which he landed 78. However, Mike Tyson only threw 97 of which he landed 18! This means that Mike threw just under 13 punches per round! Jake Paul had more than double the amount of punches per round, making it a very one-sided fight.

Leading up to the fight, multiple clips of Miky Tyson’s training camp were published on social media. In these clips, you can see Mike Tyson attacking with speed, power and precision. During the fight, you could see that as soon as Jake Paul started to get fired up, he took his foot off the gas. He made sure Mike had multiple opportunities to recover during the rounds! Some people called it respect for the fighter however, the majority of the fans just looked at it for what it was and it was not the “Clash of Generations” as it had been promoted!
