Man sch\u00e4tzt, dass es weltweit nur 100 Menschen gibt, die von Chim\u00e4rismus betroffen sind. Bei 8 Milliarden Menschen weltweit ist das wirklich eine sehr kleine Zahl. Vielmehr habe man den Unterschied der Hautfarbe als eine Art Muttermal abgetan. Aufgefallen sei die genetische Anomalie erst, als sie im Teenager-Alter unterschiedliche Krankheiten entwickelte.
